Okay, perhaps “gets a new home” is more accurate.  But here it is…March 2010, and we’ve purchased a 1992 Aerostar RX8, which we are renaming Sonoran Star.  After a week at the Balloon RX repair station getting up-to-date on its annual inspection, tank certifications, a handful of minor repairs and a bit of cosmetic cleanup, we’ve brought the balloon home.  The pyrometer cable still needs to be pushed back up to the top of the envelope.  (Gusts prevented us from doing that Saturday.)  But assuming we can get that done early this coming Saturday, then the first flight with her being “our” balloon will happen.
