I presume that the majority of you know that the Lukeville/Sonoyta border crossing has been open since January 4, 2024. It was closed for the month of December but the decision proved very unpopular and it was reopened shortly after New Year’s. However, I have heard from far too many people that they think it is still closed – IT IS OPEN.
GOOD NEWS – The border hours, after being shortened during Covid and never extended again, have gotten one small reprieve – On Fridays, the border will remain open until 10:00 instead of the recent 8:00 closure time. This should help more people get here on Fridays after work to enjoy a long weekend.
